Job Overview

Pakistan Microfinance Investment Company Limited (PMIC) is hiring an Associate Officer – Finance to support its Finance Department in maintaining accurate financial records, managing treasury operations, and ensuring compliance with regulatory and internal control frameworks. The role is ideal for fresh graduates or professionals with up to one year of experience in the financial services sector.


Key Responsibilities

  • Support finance operations through accurate recording of vouchers and transactions in the ERP system

  • Assist in day-to-day finance activities including:

    • Bank reconciliations

    • Verification of supporting documentation

    • Coordination with internal departments

    • Timely preparation of financial information for reporting, audits, and management use

  • Assist in execution, settlement, documentation, and reconciliation of treasury transactions in line with internal controls

  • Support preparation of ALCO presentations, including analysis of:

    • Country economic conditions

    • Cash flow projections

    • Investment and treasury positions

  • Assist in finalization of ALCO minutes for committee approval

  • Prepare daily treasury dashboards demonstrating analytical and capital market understanding

  • Review interest rate movements and advise management on opportunities to maximize investment returns

  • Support supervisor-led initiatives related to business process improvement and strengthening internal controls


Education

  • Bachelor’s degree in B.Com / BBA / M.Com or equivalent


Experience

  • Fresh graduates or candidates with up to 1 year of experience

  • Preference will be given to candidates with experience in the Finance Department of Financial Services Sector


Functional Competencies

  • Strong analytical and qualitative analysis skills

  • Basic knowledge of investment management

  • Understanding of economic and monetary policy

  • Basic knowledge of risk management, particularly credit risk

  • Familiarity with SECP rules and regulations for NBFCs

  • Cash flow forecasting, liquidity management, and cash management skills

  • Good negotiation, presentation, and report-writing skills
