Job Overview

NADRA is seeking a skilled Assistant Director (Java Backend Developer) to design, develop, and maintain secure, scalable backend systems supporting mission-critical national platforms. The role involves building high-performance microservices, managing APIs, and contributing throughout the software development lifecycle in an agile environment.

Educational Requirements

Bachelor’s degree (4 years) in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field
Master’s degree will be preferred
Minimum 16 years of HEC-verified education is mandatory
All degrees must be attested by HEC

Professional Experience

Preferably 3 years of relevant experience in Java backend development or similar roles

Key Responsibilities

Design, develop, and deploy secure microservices and RESTful APIs
Manage the complete software development lifecycle using agile methodologies
Develop and maintain data access layers for relational and NoSQL databases
Implement, manage, and monitor services in containerized environments
Ensure system performance, reliability, and security
Write clean, testable, and maintainable code; troubleshoot production issues

Required Skills & Competencies

Strong expertise in Java, Spring Boot, and Spring Security
Hands-on experience with RESTful APIs, Kafka, and API Management (WSO2)
Good understanding of security protocols: JWT, OAuth 2.0, TLS/SSL, PKI, encryption
Experience with RDBMS (Oracle, PostgreSQL) and NoSQL databases (MongoDB)
Familiarity with Docker, Kubernetes, and CI/CD pipelines
Ability to work in morning and evening shifts

Terms & Conditions

Appointment will be on a contract basis with a 6-month probation period (extendable if required)
