Job Overview

Habib Bank Limited is seeking an experienced and results-driven Head Remedial & Recovery to lead recovery operations within Agriculture Banking. The role focuses on maximizing recoveries, minimizing non-performing loans (NPLs), ensuring regulatory compliance, and leading high-performing teams across Pakistan.

Key Responsibilities

Financial Management

Drive achievement of recovery targets by translating goals into actionable plans for regional teams (RRLMs).
Conduct regional visits, performance reviews, and strategy meetings with Recovery Officers and RALMs.
Control incremental provisioning and ensure adherence to allocated budgets.
Monitor NPL portfolio, prevent downgrading, and improve recoveries in high-risk segments.
Guide regions on legal suit filing in line with bank policy, including coordination with litigation teams and auction processes.
Evaluate and process settlement proposals and recommend approvals under business settlement policies.
Oversee write-off cases ensuring compliance with internal credit policies and SBP prudential regulations.

Risk Management & Compliance

Coordinate with regulatory bodies including SBP, and manage internal/external audits.
Address audit observations and ensure timely resolution.
Maintain compliance with banking regulations and internal governance frameworks.

People Management

Lead and mentor a team of recovery specialists (RRLMs).
Allocate targets and provide continuous coaching to enhance performance.
Conduct HR needs assessments aligned with business objectives.

Cross-Functional Coordination

Collaborate with departments including Risk Management, Operations, Structured Credit, and Branch Banking.
Ensure smooth communication and timely resolution of operational challenges.

Required Skills & Expertise

Strong background in banking recovery, credit risk, and portfolio management
In-depth knowledge of credit policies and SBP prudential regulations
Proven leadership and team management capabilities
Experience in litigation processes, settlements, and loan recovery strategies
Excellent analytical, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills
