Job Description

Serena Hotels is seeking a professional and customer-focused Assistant Front Office Manager to support the efficient management of Front Office operations. The successful candidate will ensure exceptional guest experiences, supervise daily operational activities, maintain high hospitality standards, and coordinate with multiple departments to deliver seamless hotel services. The ideal applicant should possess strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving abilities while thriving in a fast-paced hospitality environment.


Key Responsibilities

Front Office Operations

  • Ensure prompt, courteous, and professional guest service at all times.
  • Supervise daily Front Office operations and delegate responsibilities effectively.
  • Monitor room inventory and optimize room allocation for maximum occupancy.
  • Assist the Front Office Manager in achieving departmental performance targets.
  • Ensure compliance with hotel policies, operational procedures, and service standards.
  • Oversee guest check-in, check-out, reservations, and billing processes.
  • Maintain accurate operational records and Front Office documentation.
  • Ensure guest belongings and valuables are handled securely.
  • Monitor cleanliness, hygiene, safety, and appearance of all Front Office areas.
  • Recommend operational improvements to enhance service quality and efficiency.

Communication & Coordination

  • Coordinate closely with Housekeeping, Reservations, Finance, Security, and other hotel departments.
  • Build and maintain strong guest relationships and promote excellent public relations.
  • Foster teamwork and maintain positive working relationships across departments.
  • Support smooth communication to enhance guest satisfaction.

Leadership & Staff Development

  • Conduct on-the-job and classroom training for Front Office employees.
  • Evaluate employee performance and identify development opportunities.
  • Mentor, coach, and guide team members to improve performance.
  • Assist in recruitment, promotions, performance evaluations, and disciplinary processes.
  • Encourage a positive, motivated, and service-oriented work environment.

Compliance & Quality Standards

  • Ensure compliance with hotel safety, security, and operational procedures.
  • Support implementation of ISO 14001, ISO 22000, and OHSAS 18001 standards.
  • Promote ethical conduct, customer-focused service, teamwork, and continuous improvement.
  • Maintain compliance with all applicable statutory and organizational requirements.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree (BA) or BBA (Hons) from a recognized institution.

Experience

  • Overall Professional Experience: 4–6 years
  • Relevant Front Office Experience: 2–4 years in hotel or hospitality operations.
