Job Description

Age Limit: 40 Years

NADRA is seeking a qualified and experienced legal professional for the position of Assistant Director (Legal) on a contractual basis at its Islamabad Headquarters.

Educational Qualification

  • LL.B or Bar-at-Law.
  • Minimum 16 years of HEC-verified education is mandatory.
  • Educational degrees must be HEC-attested.

Experience

  • Minimum 2 years of post-qualification relevant experience.
  • Candidates having 5 or more years of relevant experience will be preferred.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist in drafting and reviewing rules, regulations, policies, and legal frameworks for government approval.
  • Support the implementation of compliance frameworks related to data protection, privacy, and security regulations.
  • Conduct legal research and provide analysis of national and international laws relevant to NADRA's functions.
  • Monitor regulatory compliance and assist in legal and regulatory risk assessments.
  • Coordinate with government agencies, regulatory authorities, and relevant stakeholders to ensure policy alignment.
  • Prepare legal documents, reports, recommendations, and briefs for senior management.
  • Provide legal opinions on policy, compliance, and regulatory matters.
  • Apply knowledge of Pakistani laws relating to citizenship, registration, data protection, and privacy.
  • Demonstrate strong legal research, analytical, drafting, and opinion-writing skills.
  • Possess excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Terms & Conditions

  1. The selected candidate will undergo a 6-month probation period, which may be extended subject to performance.
  2. Management reserves the right to withhold or cancel the recruitment process and accept or reject any application at any stage without assigning any reason.
  3. Only shortlisted candidates will be called for the test/interview.
  4. Providing false information at any stage will result in disqualification.
  5. Government/Semi-Government employees must provide an NOC at the time of interview.
  6. The 5-year general age relaxation is already included in the stated age limit.
  7. HEC/respective regulatory-body attested educational documents must be provided at the time of joining.
  8. The selected candidate must provide Medical Fitness and Character Certificates.
  9. No TA/DA will be admissible for the test/interview.
  10. Electronic gadgets, including mobile phones and smart watches, will not be allowed during the test/interview.
