Indus Hospital & Health Network is seeking a Senior Officer – Procurement to manage the procurement of maintenance items and indirect materials for hospital departments and locations across Pakistan. The role involves vendor management, quotation evaluation, negotiations, purchase orders, logistics coordination, compliance, and procurement reporting.

Key Responsibilities

  • Review and process Purchase Requisition Forms (PRFs) from hospital departments and locations across Pakistan.
  • Coordinate with departments and hospital sites for technical discussions and clarification of procurement requirements.
  • Work with the Head Office Procurement team to prioritize and expedite urgent requisitions.
  • Obtain, evaluate, and negotiate vendor quotations, pricing, payment terms, and delivery schedules.
  • Prepare Comparative Statements (CS) and Purchase Orders (POs) according to procurement policies, SOPs, and approval requirements.
  • Coordinate with logistics and transportation providers to ensure timely delivery to hospital locations.
  • Develop and maintain an approved vendor list for maintenance items and indirect materials.
  • Conduct periodic vendor performance evaluations.
  • Monitor market trends, pricing changes, and alternative sourcing opportunities to identify cost-saving options.
  • Ensure procurement activities comply with hospital SOPs, financial policies, and applicable regulatory and audit requirements.
  • Maintain accurate procurement records, contracts, and vendor documentation in the ERP/procurement system.
  • Coordinate with Finance/Accounts regarding vendor payments and resolve invoice discrepancies.
  • Handle urgent and emergency PRFs within defined turnaround times.
  • Prepare periodic MIS reports covering procurement spend, cost savings, and vendor performance.
  • Support internal and external procurement-related audits.
  • Review, renew, and renegotiate supply and service contracts when required.

Eligibility Criteria

Education:
Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, preferably in Industrial, Mechanical, Electrical Engineering, or a related discipline.

Experience:
Minimum 3–5 years of relevant procurement experience, preferably in a hospital/healthcare or multi-site organization.
