Indus Hospital & Health Network is hiring Procurement Officer

Experience: 1 year of relevant experience, preferably in the healthcare/pharmaceutical sector
Education: BBA/MBA in Supply Chain from a reputable institution

The Procurement Officer will be responsible for managing procurement activities, coordinating with suppliers, ensuring timely availability of materials, controlling supply chain costs, and maintaining vendor records in accordance with organizational SOPs and procurement policies.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare and verify purchase orders according to quotations and SOPs.
• Ensure required materials are available at economical costs and within minimum timeframes.
• Communicate delivery schedules to relevant departments.
• Prepare comparative statements to help reduce supply chain costs.
• Issue purchase orders to vendors according to the procurement manual.
• Maintain, update, and reconcile vendor registration and information records.
• Negotiate supplier contracts and rates while ensuring quality, cost, and delivery requirements.
• Develop alternative suppliers for critical and single-source materials.
• Conduct supplier evaluations and maintain the approved vendor list.
• Coordinate between vendors and internal departments/users.
• Arrange product returns and replacements according to policy.
• Follow up with vendors to ensure timely deliveries and stock availability.
• Maintain and promptly reimburse petty cash.
• Conduct product sampling and evaluation according to defined SOPs.
• Prepare and maintain vendor performance reports and related documentation.

Requirements

• BBA/MBA in Supply Chain from a reputable institution.
• Minimum 1 year of relevant experience.
• Experience in the healthcare/pharmaceutical sector will be preferred.
