Experience: 3–5 years in Import & Export
Qualification: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration, or a related field

The Imports Specialist will be responsible for managing import operations, ensuring regulatory compliance, coordinating shipments, maintaining documentation, and supporting efficient supply chain operations.

Key Responsibilities

Coordinate inbound shipments, including scheduling, booking, tracking, and delivery.
Prepare and maintain import documentation, including bills of lading, commercial invoices, and packing lists.
Coordinate with freight forwarders, customs brokers, carriers, suppliers, and clearing agents.
Resolve shipment delays, discrepancies, and clearance-related issues.
Ensure compliance with customs laws, import regulations, tariffs, licenses, permits, and certifications.
Maintain accurate import records for reporting and audit purposes.
Track incoming shipments and coordinate with procurement and warehouse teams.
Support cost-effective logistics and transportation solutions.
Prepare reports covering shipment status, freight costs, and compliance activities.
Liaise with suppliers and logistics partners regarding shipment updates and discrepancies.
Negotiate freight rates and service terms to optimize logistics costs and service quality.

Required Skills

Strong understanding of import procedures and compliance requirements.
Knowledge of shipment and customs clearance processes.
Basic logistics data analysis and cost-control skills.
Proficiency in MS Office and ERP systems.
Strong coordination and communication skills.
Effective problem-solving abilities.
Excellent attention to detail in documentation and compliance.
Good negotiation and vendor-management skills.

Eligibility Criteria

Education: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration, or a relevant field.

Experience: Minimum 3–5 years of relevant experience in Import & Export functions.
