Qualification: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration, or a related field

The Imports Specialist will be responsible for managing import operations, ensuring regulatory compliance, coordinating shipments, maintaining documentation, and supporting efficient supply chain operations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Coordinate inbound shipments, including scheduling, booking, tracking, and delivery.
  • Prepare and maintain import documentation, including bills of lading, commercial invoices, and packing lists.
  • Coordinate with freight forwarders, customs brokers, carriers, suppliers, and clearing agents.
  • Resolve shipment delays, discrepancies, and clearance-related issues.
  • Ensure compliance with customs laws, import regulations, tariffs, licenses, permits, and certifications.
  • Maintain accurate import records for reporting and audit purposes.
  • Track incoming shipments and coordinate with procurement and warehouse teams.
  • Support cost-effective logistics and transportation solutions.
  • Prepare reports covering shipment status, freight costs, and compliance activities.
  • Liaise with suppliers and logistics partners regarding shipment updates and discrepancies.
  • Negotiate freight rates and service terms to optimize logistics costs and service quality.

Required Skills

  • Strong understanding of import procedures and compliance requirements.
  • Knowledge of shipment and customs clearance processes.
  • Basic logistics data analysis and cost-control skills.
  • Proficiency in MS Office and ERP systems.
  • Strong coordination and communication skills.

Eligibility Criteria

Education: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration, or a relevant field.

Experience: Minimum 3–5 years of relevant experience in Import & Export functions.
