OneNetwork is seeking an experienced AM Microwave/VHF Deployment & Operations professional to support the deployment, commissioning, integration, troubleshooting, and maintenance of microwave and VHF communication infrastructure.
Key Responsibilities

Deploy point-to-point and point-to-multipoint microwave links across project sites.

Supervise installation of microwave IDUs/ODUs, antennas, waveguides, grounding and power systems.

Perform antenna alignment, RSSI optimization and link-budget validation.

Configure microwave radios, including frequency planning, bandwidth, modulation, QoS and protection schemes such as 1+0, 1+1 and XPIC.

Deploy and commission VHF base stations, repeaters, mobile units and control-room equipment.

Configure VHF frequencies, power levels, squelch settings and CTCSS/DCS signaling.

Conduct VSWR testing, spectrum analysis, interference checks and coverage validation.

Ensure compliance with frequency-allocation and spectrum-management requirements.

Conduct Site Acceptance Testing (SAT) and end-to-end connectivity validation.

Coordinate with IP/MPLS, fiber and core-network teams for microwave backhaul integration.

Prepare RF survey reports, link calculations, frequency records, as-built documentation and commissioning reports.

Troubleshoot link degradation, interference, hardware faults and power-related issues.

Support preventive and corrective maintenance of microwave and VHF infrastructure.

Ensure complete technical handover to NOC/Operations teams.
Qualification
-
Bachelor’s degree in Telecommunication Engineering, Computer Engineering, IT, or a related discipline.

Relevant certifications such as HCIP Transmission, CCNA or RF-related certifications are preferred.
Required Skills & Experience
-
Strong knowledge of RF fundamentals, link budgeting and propagation principles.

Hands-on experience with microwave link alignment and configuration.

Knowledge of VHF communication systems and repeater deployment.

Understanding of modulation schemes, frequency planning and spectrum management.

RF troubleshooting and interference-analysis skills.
-
Ability to interpret HLDs, LLDs and RF design documents.
-
Strong coordination skills in multi-technology network environments.
-
Experience with mission-critical or public-safety communication networks is preferred.
