Unilever Pakistan is hiring Assistant Manager – ManEx

Unilever is seeking an Assistant Manager – ManEx to drive the effective application of World Class Manufacturing (WCM) techniques across the sourcing unit.

The role focuses on identifying and eliminating operational losses through cost deployment, loss-tree analysis, focused improvement, Kaizen, and other continuous improvement methodologies. The successful candidate will also train, coach, and mentor teams to strengthen problem-solving and manufacturing excellence capabilities.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead Focused Improvement (FI), Kaizen, and Manufacturing Excellence (ManEx) initiatives across the site.
• Promote a culture of continuous improvement and operational excellence.
• Train, coach, and mentor leaders, managers, and operators on WCM and problem-solving methodologies.
• Apply root cause analysis and continuous improvement tools to identify and eliminate operational losses.
• Facilitate the identification, implementation, and replication of best practices.
• Support effective knowledge sharing and transfer of lessons across the sourcing unit.
• Act as the Single Point of Contact (SPOC) for site performance governance.
• Monitor and manage key operational and business KPIs.
• Lead productivity, efficiency, performance improvement, and cost-saving initiatives.
• Drive governance and sustainment of the Daily Management System (DMS).
• Support the site's strategic roadmap and transformation initiatives.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify improvement opportunities and remove performance losses.
• Provide performance insights and recommendations to site leadership.
• Support timely decision-making and sustained business results.

Required Qualifications & Experience

• Postgraduate-level education in Mechanical, Electrical, or Chemical Engineering.
• Experienced WCM Practitioner with the ability to work across WCM pillars.
• Strong knowledge of continuous improvement and Quality Improvement tools.
• Experience in a manufacturing environment, preferably within the FMCG industry.
• Experience working as part of a Project Management team.
• Understanding of project management tools and techniques.
• Ability to teach, coach, and mentor teams in WCM and continuous improvement practices.
