Job Purpose

To supervise mechanical and electrical maintenance activities within the plant, ensuring that equipment and machinery remain operational while meeting required safety, environmental, and regulatory standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Support Mechanics and Electricians in carrying out factory maintenance operations according to established standards.
• Analyse equipment logs and perform critical maintenance tasks.
• Use maintenance management software to schedule maintenance activities and allocate resources.
• Troubleshoot unexpected equipment breakdowns and coordinate with operators and equipment vendors.
• Respond promptly to maintenance work orders to minimise production disruptions.
• Maintain comprehensive shift-wise records and logbooks of maintenance activities.
• Ensure accurate documentation of operational records and performance metrics.
• Report machinery status, maintenance issues, and relevant findings to the Maintenance Manager.
• Conduct effective handovers between shifts, communicating important updates and outstanding issues.
• Lead and supervise maintenance shifts covering morning, afternoon, night, and break shifts.
• Coordinate with the QHSE team to ensure machinery and equipment comply with safety and environmental requirements.
• Mentor and train maintenance team members to keep their technical skills up to date.
• Stay informed about modern maintenance methods and industry best practices.

Required Qualification & Experience

• Bachelor’s degree in a relevant discipline.
• 3–5 years of relevant experience in maintenance, preferably in a manufacturing or plant environment.
• Knowledge of mechanical and electrical maintenance operations.
• Ability to troubleshoot machinery breakdowns and coordinate maintenance activities.
• Familiarity with maintenance management systems/software is an advantage.
