Job Description

Grade/Level: Grade 1 Urdu Reading Book & Teacher’s Guide
Job Type: Contract — 3 Months
No. of Positions: 01
Salary: PKR 165,000 per month
Joining: Immediate

Qualification

  • Intermediate qualification or above.
  • Diploma or degree in Graphic Design, Fine Arts, or a related field is an advantage.

Experience

  • Prior experience in book layout, publication design, or similar print-production work.
  • Experience with Urdu-language materials is preferred.
  • Experience preparing final artwork for offset printing.
  • Experience converting content from Word, PDF, CorelDraw, handwritten notes, or rough sketches into InDesign/Illustrator files.

Software Skills

  • Expert-level proficiency in Adobe InDesign — primary requirement.
  • Strong working knowledge of Adobe Illustrator and Adobe Photoshop.
  • Familiarity with CorelDraw and MS Word.

Key Responsibilities

  • Convert approved manuscript content, illustrations, and design references into fully laid-out, print-ready Urdu-language materials.
  • Ensure accuracy of Urdu composition.
  • Maintain visual consistency throughout the publication.
  • Prepare artwork according to print-production requirements.
  • Meet tight deadlines and milestone-driven production schedules.
  • Manage multiple rounds of revisions across a large volume of pages.

Other Requirements

  • Candidate must be based in Karachi.
  • Must be able to work in-office for the full duration of the engagement.
  • Must have a personal laptop/computer capable of handling large, graphics-heavy design files.
  • Strong attention to detail.
  • Ability to work under tight deadlines.
  • Personal laptop is specifically required.
