🎯 Position Purpose

The Assistant Manager – Store will be responsible for ensuring the safe custody and proper management of stores and spare parts. The role involves supervising material receipts, storage, retrieval, and authorized issuance while maintaining accurate inventory records and operational efficiency.

📝 Key Responsibilities

• Supervise all weighbridge operations and related activities.

• Reconcile explosive material inventory monthly to ensure accuracy and compliance.

• Manage material handling activities, including receiving, issuing, tagging, stacking, and record-keeping.

• Monitor daily diesel pump operations, including receiving, decanting, issuance, and stock reconciliation.

• Oversee empty cement bag (sack) store operations and maintain accurate inventory records.

• Resolve inventory discrepancies and operational issues promptly.

• Coordinate month-end closing and reconcile raw materials and fuel stocks, including furnace oil, against Daily Progress Reports (DPR).

• Lead inventory inspections for internal and external audits.

• Prepare actionable improvement plans following audit responses submitted to the Head of Internal Audit.

• Manage departmental staff according to the approved organizational structure and promote team development.

• Serve as the departmental ISO Coordinator to ensure compliance with ISO standards and quality management procedures.

• Act as Head of Department (HOD) Store in the absence of the department head.

• Perform special assignments given by the HOD/GM (Works).

🎓 Eligibility Criteria

• BBA or MBA degree from an HEC-recognized university.

• Minimum 4–6 years of relevant professional experience.

• Strong inventory management and store operations knowledge.

• Ability to supervise teams and maintain accurate stock records.

• Understanding of audit procedures, ISO standards, and workplace safety requirements.

📑 Legal & Regulatory Compliance

• Obtain and follow up on necessary government and non-government permissions, NOCs, certificates, and licenses.

• Ensure implementation of required actions communicated by relevant government departments.

🦺 Health, Safety & Housekeeping

• Ensure implementation of workplace safety measures and proper use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).

• Make sure all departmental activities follow safety regulations and established procedures.

• Maintain a safe and organized working environment to prevent accidents.
