BPS-18 now starts at Rs 68,330 with an annual increment of Rs 5,120 and a maximum of Rs 170,730 (20 stages), effective 1 July 2026.

What a BPS-18 employee gets from July 2026
- Basic pay moves to the BPS-2026 scale at the same stage (about 20.1% higher, because the 2022 and 2025 reliefs are now part of it).
- Ad-hoc Relief Allowance-2026: 7% of the new basic pay — Rs 4,783 at the minimum, Rs 11,951 at the maximum.
- Conveyance allowance (federal): Rs 7,500 a month, up from Rs 5,000.
- Unchanged: house rent, medical, ARA-2023 and ARA-2024 stay at their 30 June 2026 level.
- Next increment: 1 December 2026, worth Rs 5,120 plus 7% (Rs 5,478 a month in total).
